The work you will be doing
Depending on the available jobs and your personal qualities & strengths, you would fit into one or more of the following categories, namely: Rides, Maintenance, Food, Games, or Tickets.
Most of the work in the United states includes operating exiting rides like roller coasters, big wheels, kiddies and other rides. It may also include working with food or working the games at the show. Each week, at each new event location, you will be tearing down and setting up the rides, as well as the food joints. After this you travel with the Amusement Park to its next location where you will help the show set up everything all over again.
You will have the opportunity to see much more of the USA than the average Joe, as you travel from town to town over a full season. Working with the rides is physical work and not for the fainthearted. It's what seperates the boys from the men :-) You should become fit and strong very quickly. You will enter a whole new environment far away from home, so the first few weeks are usually the most challenging. After the initial "getting used to it all" phase, new friendships are made and your working adventure will be well on its way.
